NBA club waived the eighth overall draft pick.
Charlotte Hornets have decided to waive former eighth overall draft pick Rob Dillingham.
This development comes just one day after the Hornets acquired Dillingham from the Chicago Bulls in exchange for Buddy Hield.
Dillingham was originally selected eighth in the 2024 NBA Draft by the Minnesota Timberwolves. However, he struggled to secure a spot in Chris Finch‘s rotation, never playing more than 15 minutes in a game during nearly two years with the Timberwolves.
In February, he was traded to Chicago. Dillingham appeared in 30 games for the Bulls, averaging 9.6 points and 2.8 assists per game while shooting 42.8% from the field.
