The Dallas Mavericks are reportedly looking to trade for Los Angeles Clippers forward Kawhi Leonard, according to The Athletic.
Dallas is offering guard Klay Thompson, forward P.J. Washington, and draft picks in exchange for Leonard. This package could appeal to the Clippers, who are hesitant to extend Leonard’s contract and are actively exploring trade options.
Leonard has previously expressed willingness to join the San Antonio Spurs, Toronto Raptors, and Houston Rockets. The Dallas move might also interest him, given the opportunity to play alongside Kyrie Irving and Cooper Flagg, as well as the presence of team executive Masai Ujiri, with whom Leonard won the NBA title in 2019 with Toronto.
