Draymond Green and Klay Thompson disagreed with Kevin Durant’s assessment that the Philadelphia 76ers, featuring LeBron James, are stronger than the 2016/17 Golden State Warriors.
“His view of the game is very similar to Uncle Drew’s approach—just about scoring points. That’s why he talks about players who average 25 points per game. He said Philadelphia is stronger on paper than the 2016/17 Golden State team. I don’t know if I can agree with that. It doesn’t seem to work that way to me,” Green commented.
Durant referenced his former teammate Thompson, saying, “Klay Thompson was never an MVP candidate in any format, averaging 22 points per game.”
“Hey, man, how are you doing? Why are you calling me by my full name?” Thompson responded in a message.
