Serbian defender Nemanja Nedovic admitted that payment issues cast a negative shadow over the Monaco squad.
“Money was supposed to be paid on time, and we were flying on private jets. We flew on private jets all year—I honestly don’t know how. We played well, the team was fantastic. We were sharing first place.
However, that’s when salaries started being delayed by a month or even a month and a half. I was okay with that; it’s completely normal. We didn’t want to make a fuss about it because we were supported by everyone—the ELPA (EuroLeague Players Association) and the French players’ union.
