Jimmy Butler, the defender, and forward Draymond Green are eager to stay with and finish their careers at the Golden State Warriors following the recent contract extension of point guard Stephen Curry for two years worth $116 million, according to The Athletic.
Butler and Green are willing to accept salary reductions, mirroring Curry’s own concession, despite having the option to sign a deal worth $136 million.
Curry nonetheless made history as the first NBA player to earn over $600 million purely from contracts. He is set to reach $652 million in total earnings by the end of his current agreement.
