Following LeBron James‘ departure this summer, the Los Angeles Lakers have entered a new era centered around Luka Dončić. The Lakers made significant roster changes during the offseason to better accommodate the Slovenian star.
In an interview with ESPN, the franchise’s new owner, Mark Walter, clearly outlined his ambitions: he is determined to bring the Lakers back to championship glory. Walter made a firm commitment to this goal.
“We will do everything in our power to make the Los Angeles Lakers champions once again. We understand the process and what it takes to achieve that. It is the standard and expectation here. I can promise one thing: championships will return to Los Angeles,” said the new Lakers owner.
