Leading European national team strengthened by coach with NBA experience

In the upcoming World Cup qualifying window, the coaching staff of the Lithuanian men’s basketball team will be joined by the renowned 69-year-old American basketball expert Bill Peterson.
Between 1998 and 2000, Peterson worked with the Dallas Mavericks focusing on player development. Later, from 2007 to 2013, he was part of the Milwaukee Bucks coaching staff. From 2014 to 2017, he served as head coach of Orlando’s G League affiliate.
Peterson will also provide guidance to Lithuania’s secondary team, which will primarily consist of young talents from the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the Lithuanian Basketball League (LKL).
