San Antonio star and French national team member Victor Wembanyama recently surprised fans by revealing that he does not miss NBA games. The center expressed a stronger desire to compete under FIBA rules.
“No, I’m not missing the NBA right now! What I really miss is FIBA basketball,” he stated.
Victor plans to represent his national team during the August qualifying window for the 2027 World Cup.
He skipped matches in early July to rest after a long NBA season, where his team, the Spurs, reached the Finals.
