As the new EuroLeague season approaches, both Maccabi Tel-Aviv and Hapoel Tel-Aviv remain uncertain about the venues for their home games due to ongoing instability in the Middle East.
According to Sport5, the owners of the two clubs, Shimon Mizrahi and Ofer Yannai, have decided to collaborate in an effort to persuade the EuroLeague to allow games to return to Israel.
Both executives have independently contacted EuroLeague CEO Chus Bueno, presenting a detailed plan along with security guarantees developed in coordination with Israeli authorities. Their objective is to bring the competition back in front of their home fans after last season’s matches were held outside the country.
Bueno reportedly expressed cautious optimism, suggesting that a return to Israel by November could be feasible if the situation remains stable.
