Barcelona’s newcomer Josh Nibo is set to be sidelined for 2-3 weeks.
According to an official statement from Barcelona, the big man suffered a contusion to his right calf during Wednesday’s training session.
With Nibo out, Barcelona is left with only one center player, as Toshan Evbuomwan sustained a dislocated left shoulder while representing the Great Britain national team in a FIBA World Cup qualifying match.
Although Evbuomwan’s recovery is progressing well, he will need to continue his rehabilitation program over the coming weeks.
As a result, the only available center for coach Aleksandar Sekulić remains the Polish player Olek Balcerowski, while Finnish player Olivier Nkamhoua is conditionally filling in for a few minutes in the number five position.
