Real Madrid point guard Maxim Shulga reflected on his debut game in the Spanish league against Unicaja, which ended 89-87. In 14 minutes of play, Shulga contributed 4 points and 3 assists.
“It was very exciting. The arena had an incredible atmosphere with a huge crowd. Honestly, more fans showed up than I expected, so everything was fantastic. We were determined to win. It was a very tough match. At times, we led by a little, then fell behind, took the lead again, and then trailed once more—that’s part of the game. The most important thing is to stay true to ourselves and keep playing our style. In the end, we secured the victory, so we are very happy,” Shulga said.
