Thomas Balcetis has been appointed as the head of basketball analytics, innovation, and information at the Philadelphia 76ers.

Balcetis spent 12 years within the Denver Nuggets organization, rising to the position of assistant general manager. He was part of the club’s leadership during the team’s development around Nikola Jokić and contributed to the franchise’s NBA championship victory in 2023.

In 2025, the Lithuanian executive left Denver and returned to Europe to join Zalgiris, where he focused on analytics, innovation, and technology to assess player performance.

Now, Balcetis will oversee the integration of data and new technologies in basketball operations for the Philadelphia 76ers, following the high-profile signing of LeBron James.
