Real Madrid forward Gabriel Deck has officially obtained a Spanish passport.
The club had anticipated a swift completion of the process during the EuroLeague Final Four in May, by which time Deck had already fulfilled all the necessary formalities and passed the required exams.
Last season, having three players from countries outside the European Union posed challenges for the team, forcing the coaching staff to manage the Spanish league’s limit of only two such players allowed on the match roster. Deck’s naturalization now resolves this issue for Real Madrid.
