Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3 introduces several companion options that can accompany you throughout your matches. One of the most sought-after is John Wick’s dog. However, it is not unlocked automatically.
Instead, you must rescue the dog from a cage before it becomes available as a companion. The challenge is that it is guarded by multiple enemies, making the rescue mission more difficult than it may initially appear.

John Wick’s Dog Location
As mentioned earlier, John Wick’s dog is inside a cage in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3. Therefore, you must defeat the guards protecting it before you can rescue it. The first step is to locate the building where the dog is located.
You can begin your search by landing in either Battlewoods or Sinister Strip. From there, check your mini-map for a paw icon. This marker indicates the location of John Wick’s dog. Once you arrive at the building, prepare for a fight, as several armed enemies will be guarding the area.
Since the guards appear in groups, it is best to gather weapons and supplies before engaging them. Shotguns can be particularly effective in close-range combat. Additionally, use cover whenever possible and eliminate the enemies one by one to avoid taking unnecessary damage.
After defeating all the threats, approach the cage and free the dog. Once it is released, interact with it and pet it to recruit it as your companion. After doing so, John Wick’s dog will begin accompanying you.
Interestingly, the companion also offers customization. To access these options, open the Sidekicks inventory from the main lobby and select John Wick’s dog. While the customization options are not extensive, you can modify certain cosmetic elements, including the dog’s collar and appearance style.
