In the English League Cup Round of 32, Tottenham didn’t look hopeless but clearly fell short compared to Liverpool. The two goals they conceded were no accident. Although they pulled one back, a late strike from Dominik Szoboszlai sealed the outcome.
Liverpool advanced to the next round of the cup, while De Zerbi must now focus on preserving his position, which he only recently took up.
