Legendary Argentine journalist Macaya Márquez obtained valuable information ahead of the Argentina-Jordan match. At 91 years old, the veteran reporter is covering his 18th World Cup.
During Lionel Scaloni’s press conference, Márquez asked, “May I ask you… will Messi play against Jordan or not?”
The Argentine coach responded candidly, “I would never answer any journalist on this topic right now… but since it’s coming from you, I’ll tell you: Messi will not be in the starting lineup.
I have great respect for you, and I’m proud to see you here,” Scaloni added.
He then embraced Márquez and posed for a photo with him.
