Alan Shearer, the Premier League’s all-time top scorer, has named his team of the week following the fourth round of the English Championship. Among those selected is Pascal Gross, the midfielder from Brighton, who played a key role in all three of his team’s goals against Coventry.

Brighton delivered a dominant 5-0 victory away at Coventry, with Gross emerging as one of the standout performers. The German midfielder provided the assist for the opening goal, confidently converted a penalty, and after the break, set up Yassine Ayari for the fifth goal.

Brighton’s head coach Fabian Hürzeler also earned recognition from Shearer, who named him as the manager of his symbolic team of the round.

Three players from Arsenal were included in Shearer’s team following their 2-0 win over Sunderland. Goalkeeper David Raya, defender Ezri Konsa, and midfielder Bruno Guimarães all secured places in the lineup.

Raya made a crucial save by stopping a penalty, while Guimarães, who came on as a substitute, scored a spectacular long-range goal. Konsa also played a vital role in keeping Arsenal’s goal intact.

Two other players who scored braces in the fourth round were also named. Midfielder Mohamed Belloumi of Hull City netted twice against Chelsea in a 2-2 draw, and Kevin Shade, the striker for Brentford, scored two goals against Bournemouth.

Additionally, Shearer highlighted two Manchester City players: defender Marc Guehi and midfielder Elliot Anderson. Both were influential in their team’s 1-0 victory over Manchester United.
