Brazil national team head coach Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that Raphinha will start in the upcoming friendly against Australia. The match is set for September 25 in Townsville, and according to Ancelotti, the La Liga top scorer will operate on the right wing rather than as a central striker.
Alongside Raphinha, Ancelotti named three other forwards: Estevao, Vinicius, and Endrick. While the coach did not specify their exact positions on the pitch, his earlier remarks suggest that Endrick will take the number nine role.
“Raphinha is doing incredible things in a position that was not originally his, but now seems to have become his as well,” Ancelotti stated during the press conference.
The Brazil coach also commented on Vinicius’s current form.
“As for Vini, he might be going through a rough patch at the moment. However, we are confident that both players will be key contributors in the future,” Ancelotti added.
