During this period, the Catalan side has scored five or more goals in five separate games. These figures are extraordinary and rarely seen in modern football. However, even more remarkable scoring feats were recorded over a century ago.
In the 1915/16 season, Barcelona, managed by British coach Jack Greenwell, also began their campaign with a seven-match winning streak. Yet, that team scored significantly more goals, tallying 44 in total. Their average of 6.3 goals per game is truly astronomical.
Such numbers may seem unattainable today, but the squad assembled by Hansi Flick has already demonstrated the ability to achieve extraordinary feats. It will be fascinating to see what they accomplish next.
