Bara Sapoko Ndiaye has officially signed a full contract with Bayern Munich until June 30, 2031. The 18-year-old Senegal international joined the Munich club on loan from Gambinos Stars during the winter transfer window and quickly made his case for a permanent transfer by featuring in four official matches in the second half of the season.
Bayern Munich’s sporting director, Kristof Freund, commented: “Bara is an outstanding footballer who adapted very quickly to a completely new environment at Bayern and rapidly earned the team’s trust. We have been monitoring him for a long time; he captained his previous team and has shown impressive progress over the past 24 months, continuing that development here in Munich. As a central midfielder, Bara relies on his dynamism and speed with the ball. He already speaks German quite well and has integrated into our squad very fast.”
Bara Ndiaye said: “Today is a very important day for me and my entire family. I want to learn every day from all these wonderful players here at Bayern and do my best to help the team. This is my dream, and I am very happy. I also want to be a role model for other young players, like my teammates at Gambinos Stars, showing that it is possible to reach one of the biggest clubs in the world.”
It is worth noting that following his appearances for Bayern, Bara was called up to the Senegal national team for the World Cup. He played one match each at the tournament held in Canada, Mexico, and the USA, where Senegal reached the round of 32.
