Borussia Dortmund and Roma faced off in a preseason friendly that distinctly unfolded in two halves: a flurry of goals early on, followed by a quieter second period as both sides took a breather from their earlier exploits.

The match kicked off with Roma‘s striker Paulo Dybala making an immediate impact. He opened the scoring in the 4th minute and then provided an assist to Cristante just five minutes later, giving Roma a strong early lead.

However, Borussia Dortmund defender Julian Ryerson soon stepped into the spotlight, mirroring Dybala’s performance. He scored in the 12th minute and later set up Girassi for a goal in the 28th minute, leveling the match.

After these goal-scoring moments, the teams settled down and no further goals were scored, ending the friendly in a 2-2 draw.

Friendly Match

Borussia Dortmund – Roma – 2:2 (2:2)
Goals: Dybala 4 (0:1), Cristante 9 (0:2), Ryerson 12 (1:2), Girassi 28 (2:2)
