London’s Chelsea are on the verge of finalizing the signing of left-back Pep Chavarria. Following the sale of Marc Cucurella to Real Madrid for €60 million, the Blues swiftly identified a replacement in the Spanish market and have now entered the final stages of negotiations.

According to the reputable publication The Athletic, an agreement between Chelsea and Rayo Vallecano is close to being completed. The 28-year-old defender’s contract with the Spanish club includes a release clause set at €50 million, although the exact fee for the transfer has not yet been disclosed.
