Spain striker Dani Olmo reflected on his team’s 3-2 victory over England in the opening round of the UEFA Nations League.

“Throughout the match, we looked the stronger side. We started the first half excellently, controlled possession, played actively, and created several scoring opportunities. However, we lost focus for a few minutes, which you cannot afford against opponents of this caliber. They have top-class players who took advantage and scored two goals,” Olmo explained.

The Spanish international also highlighted how the momentum shifted after Harry Kane missed a penalty.

“That moment gave us a boost. Had he scored, it would have been difficult for us. But his miss energized us to keep pressing and playing our game. That’s exactly how we achieved success,” Olmo added.
