Dominik Szoboszlai Acknowledges Challenge of Replacing Injured Players Ahead of Ukraine Clash

Dominik Szoboszlai, the leader of the Hungary national team, shared his expectations ahead of their Nations League campaign. The Hungarians kick off the tournament this evening with a home fixture against Ukraine.

“We hope to perform well not only in this match but also in the three that follow,” the midfielder stated.

Hungary faces two key absences against Ukraine: forward Barnabás Varga from AEK and right-back Ronald Sallai of Galatasaray.

“Since these are two regular starters, replacing them will be challenging. Sallai has been here longer than me; both are important to the team’s play. It won’t be easy to fill their roles, but this is an opportunity for everyone to show what they can do for the Hungary national team,” Szoboszlai said.
