England defender Nico O’Reilly will miss the upcoming UEFA Nations League match against the Czech Republic due to injury, according to Sky Sports. The 21-year-old Manchester City player sustained the injury and will be unavailable to assist Thomas Tuchel‘s squad in Prague today.
O’Reilly played the full 90 minutes in Saturday’s 3-2 defeat to Spain at Wembley. Following the match, he experienced issues that caused him to miss the group training session on Monday. The national team’s medical staff decided it was best not to take any risks, resulting in O’Reilly’s exclusion from the squad. His likely replacement at left-back will be Lewis Hall from Newcastle.
It has also been confirmed that another player with fitness concerns, Ezri Konsa, has passed his medical examination and is fit to play. Tuchel has already made the necessary adjustments to the lineup accordingly.
