Fabrizio Romano has announced a new Chelsea transfer. According to his information, the London club has reached an agreement to sign defender Pep Chavarria from Rayo Vallecano.
Chelsea intensified their efforts to secure the defender, submitting an improved offer. This new proposal apparently ended weeks of resistance from the Spanish club.

The initiative to acquire the Spanish defender comes directly from head coach Xabi Alonso.
Last season, Chavarria featured in 44 matches across all competitions for Vallecano, scoring one goal and providing three assists.
