Real Madrid striker Kylian Mbappé shared his thoughts in an interview with AS on why he believes he should be the frontrunner for the 2026 Ballon d’Or.

“I think this year is perfect for winning the award. My feet speak louder than any words I say. What matters most to me is bringing the Ballon d’Or back to Real Madrid. It needs to return to the Bernabéu, to the Madrid fans, to give them hope. They deserve it more than anyone else,” the French forward stated.

It is worth recalling that the Ballon d’Or ceremony celebrating the award’s 70th anniversary will take place in London on October 26.
