Luis Scola, the CEO of Italian club Varese and a legend of the Argentina national team, has expressed his desire to work in the NBA.
Scola spent 10 seasons as a player in the NBA. His achievements include winning Olympic gold in 2004 and earning two silver medals at the World Cup with the Argentina national team. He concluded his playing career in 2021 with Varese, after which he took on the role of the club’s general director.
“I would like to work in the NBA. It’s the best place. It’s one of those ambitious goals, and it’s truly difficult. You have to be patient and prepared. If an opportunity arises, you need to seize it fully because there might not be another chance. The NBA is so developed that the influence of one individual is minimal. In other places, much more depends on you. There, everyone focuses on their specific tasks, which is more efficient. Here, we have to do everything. I will try to return there,” Scola said.
