Inter Miami suffered a heavy 4-1 defeat away to Nashville in their latest MLS regular season match.

The league’s standout star, Lionel Messi, provided the assist for Telasco Segovia, who scored the visitors’ only goal. However, Messi himself was unable to convert a penalty, with Brian Shaquille, the Nashville goalkeeper, denying him.

For Nashville, Hany Mukhtar was the standout performer, netting a brace. Andy Najar and Sam Surridge also contributed with one goal each.

Inter Miami currently sit second in the MLS Eastern Conference with 38 points, while Nashville lead the table, holding a five-point advantage.
