FC Kharkiv head coach Mladen Bartulović shared his thoughts on the team’s commanding 6-2 victory over Qarabağ in their opening preseason friendly, speaking on the club’s official YouTube channel.
“We don’t focus too much on the scoreline. The game itself is what matters,” Bartulović explained. “Of course, it’s always satisfying to win against a strong opponent. Perhaps they weren’t fielding their best lineup, but they still had quality players on the pitch. For our first friendly, we’re very pleased.”
The coach highlighted tactical aspects the team worked on during the match, noting, “We saw the tactical moves we’ve been practicing come together well today. I’m glad the young players got their chance.”
He also mentioned the contributions of Parako and Yatsyk, emphasizing their importance: “These guys will help us. The level of competition within the squad has increased.”
Regarding Profile and his assists, Bartulović said, “We knew what kind of player he is. We’re confident he will strengthen our midfield.”
