Bayern Munich’s newest signing, Nathaniel Brown, has given his first interview since joining the club today from Frankfurt.
“It’s indescribable. FC Bayern is one of the biggest clubs in the world. Since I’m from Bavaria myself, almost everyone in my hometown of Amberg supports Bayern – I grew up with that. It definitely makes this experience very special. For me, it’s wonderful, and it’s also a huge step forward.
My career has been progressing rapidly, step by step. I hope it continues that way – I will work hard to make sure it does, I won’t rest on my laurels, and I will give my all. But right now, I’m just very grateful and proud.
Honestly, when you start playing football, you don’t think about reaching such heights. I started as a left-back in the under-17 team, and then gradually it dawned on me: maybe I can become a professional. But the idea that one day I could play for Bayern was just a dream, nothing more.
I want to achieve the highest sporting success, win many titles with Bayern, and celebrate them with the fans. I want to enjoy playing alongside the guys and I’m already looking forward to meeting everyone. On a personal level, I want to keep growing and becoming even more mature,” the player told Bayern’s official website.
