The transfer of Hoffenheim striker Fisnik Asllani to Leipzig has officially fallen through. Leipzig had intended to trigger the €25 million buyout clause, but the move was halted at the final stage due to concerns over the Kosovan forward’s medical results.

“Fisnik Asllani will remain with the club. Hoffenheim and Leipzig were in talks regarding a potential transfer, but the deal will not proceed due to medical concerns raised by Leipzig,” Hoffenheim confirmed.

Hoffenheim’s sporting director Andreas Schicker stated that the collapse of the transfer is not seen as a negative development from a sporting perspective. The club remains confident in Asllani’s physical condition and is counting on him for the upcoming season.
