Argentina’s head coach reflected on the team’s 2026 World Cup Round of 16 clash against Cape Verde, a match that saw the reigning world champions secure victory only after extra time.
“It was truly a tough game, but you always have to focus on the positives. This team never gives up.
I must also commend our opponents. The truth is, when people say there are no easy matches, Cape Verde proved today that they are a very strong team.
I want to highlight the contribution of every one of my players. The reality is everyone was exhausted because they gave their all. We Argentinians know that nothing comes easy,” said Scaloni.
