The hosts secured a 2-0 win within the first half. Schranz opened the scoring in the 32nd minute, and just minutes later, Duda converted a penalty to double the advantage.
Notably, Karpaty defender Vladislav Baboglo started for Moldova but was substituted in the 74th minute.
With this result, Slovakia tops the group ahead of the Faroe Islands and Kazakhstan, who played out a 1-1 draw against each other.
