Thierry Henry: Michael Olise More Crucial Than Mbappé for France Team
Former French national team star Thierry Henry has identified current “Les Bleus” midfielder Michael Olise as the most crucial player in the squad.
“While Kylian will always be the MVP because of his decisive role, the most important player is Michael Olise. He’s a monster—he reads the game so quickly and in a completely different way from others. Technical players sometimes neglect their defensive duties, but not him. I was lucky enough to coach him. During training sessions, I held back from saying ‘Wow!’ because a coach isn’t supposed to do that. I told my assistants, ‘Did you see that?’ He’s from another planet,” Henry told FOX Sports.
In the recently concluded season, Olise played for Bayern Munich, appearing in 57 matches, scoring 25 goals, and providing 28 assists. He helped the club secure both the Bundesliga title and the DFB-Pokal, earning recognition as the team’s Player of the Year and the best footballer in the German championship.
