Greece winger Christos Tzolis reflected on his team’s historic victory over Germany in the second round of the UEFA Nations League. This win marked the first time Greece has ever beaten Germany in their football history.

In an interview with UEFA, Tzolis highlighted that despite Germany’s prolonged dominance in ball possession, the Greek players remained composed throughout the match.

“It’s an incredible feeling,” Tzolis told UEFA. “These were two away games with two wins against very strong, high-level opponents. Germany controlled the game, but we never lost our composure. Every player made runs, we held our positions, and we knew chances would come our way.”

Unexpectedly, Greece now leads Group A2 with 6 points after just two matches.
