This morning, the Football Association of Wales confirmed its stance in the ongoing dispute between UEFA and Gianni Infantino’s FIFA. Earlier, the FAW had prematurely endorsed the Swiss candidate for the 2027 FIFA presidential election.

However, today Wales officially withdrew its support for Mr. Gianni Infantino’s bid for re-election as FIFA president for the 2027-2031 term.

This development underscores Europe’s continued unity amid the prolonged confrontation between UEFA and the FIFA leadership.
