Porto, the reigning champions of Portugal, extended their title defense with an away victory in the second round against Rio Ave.
The visitors took the lead early, with Nejmar Perez scoring in the 11th minute. To extinguish any hopes of a comeback from the home side, Brayan Sainz sealed the win for the champions with a goal in the 82nd minute, securing a 2-0 triumph.
It is worth noting that Porto currently stand as the only team in Portugal to have won both of their opening matches, placing them at the top of the league table.
