Mourinho Finalizes Real Madrid’s 4-2-3-1 Formation Ahead of La Liga Start
Real Madrid is set to kick off their new La Liga campaign soon. In their final preseason match, the Blancos secured a 3-0 victory over Schalke. Their opening league fixture is scheduled for August 22, when they will face Espanyol away from home.
The capital club’s manager, José Mourinho, appears to have settled on a 4-2-3-1 tactical setup, according to Diario AS. This formation enables him to field all four attacking stars—Vinícius Júnior, Kylian Mbappé, Yan Diomande, and Jude Bellingham—simultaneously, which is crucial for maintaining harmony in a squad brimming with high-profile talents.
Additionally, Mourinho is experimenting with Bernardo Silva, the former Manchester City captain. He may alternate between the roles of right central midfielder and the attacking midfielder position, known as the ‘number 10,’ within a single match.
