Vilpas from Finland faced off against Denmark’s Bakken in the 2nd qualifying round of the 2026/27 Champions League season, securing a 90-72 victory. The quarter-by-quarter scores were 23-19, 26-21, 26-21, and 15-11.

For Vilpas, Walker led the scoring with 32 points, while Alto contributed 13 points and 7 rebounds, and Jeffries added 12 points along with 5 rebounds.

On Bakken’s side, Bine scored 18 points, Pedersen had 17 points and 6 rebounds, and Minsi chipped in 9 points.

In another match, Georgian club Batumi was defeated by Romanian side Oradea with a final score of 77-93. The period scores read 21-25, 16-30, 21-15, and 19-23.

Batumi saw strong performances from Howell with 23 points, Ochikhidze scoring 22, and Beshem adding 10 points plus 11 rebounds.

Oradea was led by Akin with 16 points, Jefferson who posted 15 points and 9 rebounds, Richard with 13 points, and Nicholson contributing 11 points and 11 assists.

Vilpas and Oradea will now face each other in a decisive match to determine who advances to the group stage. This crucial game is scheduled for Sunday, September 20.
