Zinedine Zidane has officially begun his tenure as the head coach of the France national team. The new manager has announced his first squad for the upcoming UEFA Nations League fixtures this autumn, with his debut match at the helm scheduled for September 25 against Turkey.
Zidane takes over from Didier Deschamps, who concluded a remarkable 16-year spell leading the national side following France’s run to the semifinals of the 2026 World Cup. The fresh challenge for Zidane is to guide this talented generation of French players toward new silverware.
