Leading the charge for Rytas were Masiulis with 17 points, Brunke contributing 15 points and 6 rebounds, Marciulionis adding 14 points and 5 rebounds, and Gudaitis posting a double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds.
For Shanghai, Wang scored 14 points, Xi added 11, and Li chipped in 9 points.
With this win, Rytas topped Group A with a perfect 2-0 record. The Rwandan club Tigers claimed second place at 1-1, while Shanghai Sharks lost both their games and will compete in the fifth-place playoff.
In Group B action, Boca Juniors fell 74-79 to G-League United. The period scores were 25-20, 18-16, 19-24, and 12-19.
Boca Juniors‘ key performers included Warren with 15 points, Monacchi scoring 11, and Barreiro contributing 10 points along with 4 assists.
G-League United were led by Dixon who tallied 17 points and 8 rebounds, East with 13 points and 6 assists, and Quiñones adding 13 points and 5 rebounds.
The American team finished atop Group B, while Boca Juniors took second place. Beijing Royal Fighters ended the group without a win, anchoring the bottom of the standings.
The semifinals are scheduled for September 26, featuring Tigers against G-League United and Rytas facing Boca Juniors.
