Jalen Brown Traded from Boston to Eastern Conference Contender Philadelphia
Philadelphia traded Jalen Brown from Boston, sending Paul George along with two first-round picks and two second-round picks in exchange.
Brown was selected third overall in the 2016 draft and spent his entire career with the Celtics. He helped the team reach the NBA Finals in 2022 and then win the championship in 2024, earning the Finals MVP honors against Dallas.
Paul George previously played for Indiana, Oklahoma, and the Clippers. Last season with the Sixers, he averaged 17.3 points and 5.6 rebounds per game. However, injuries have been a significant issue for George; in the past eight seasons, he has only played more than 60 games in one.
It is worth noting that during this year’s playoffs, Philadelphia eliminated Boston in the first round.
