Joel Embiid Cites Team Cohesion as Key Challenge for Philadelphia’s Title Bid
Joel Embiid, the standout star of the Philadelphia team over the past decade, believes the club has a real chance to win the championship. However, he points out that the major challenge lies in the significant roster overhaul the team has undergone. Now, time is needed for the players to develop chemistry.
“The biggest difficulty for us is how quickly we can gel as a team. Even the most recent champions faced challenges assembling their squads and achieving success within a year.
It’s not impossible, as it has happened before, but reaching that goal will require effort from every individual,” Embiid explained.
During the offseason, the club traded for Jaylen Brown from Boston, while LeBron James joined as a free agent.
