Kawhi Leonard Returns to Raptors in Trade Involving All-Star Brandon Ingram
The Toronto Raptors and the Los Angeles Clippers have agreed on a trade involving Kawhi Leonard.
In exchange, the Raptors will send Brandon Ingram, Grady Dick, two first-round picks, and two second-round picks to the Clippers.
Leonard previously played for Toronto during the 2018-19 season, when the team secured the NBA championship. Throughout that playoff run, the forward averaged 30.5 points, 9.1 rebounds, 3.9 assists, and 1.7 steals over 39.1 minutes per game.
Kawhi was named the Finals MVP that year, a title he had also earned in 2014 when he helped the San Antonio Spurs win the championship.
For the upcoming season, Leonard is set to earn $50.3 million.
Brandon Ingram was selected for the All-Star Game this year and also participated in the Rising Stars Challenge in 2020. His contract for the 2026-27 season is valued at $40 million, with a player option worth $42 million for the 2027-28 season.
