Los Angeles Lakers head coach JJ Redick has expressed confidence in the team’s revamped roster, stating that for the first time during his tenure, he feels all the pieces are perfectly in place.
“For the first time in three years with the Lakers, I feel the roster is ideally constructed and every detail truly fits together. I am very confident in the starting positions. This is Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves’ team. I’ve seen how inspired Luka is. He carefully planned everything before this trip to Slovenia. Since the players returned, including Austin, he has been a daily leader at the training facility,” Redick said during the club’s media day.
Redick has been at the helm of the Lakers since June 2024. On September 26, 2025, the club extended his contract through 2030. During the 2026 offseason, the California-based team parted ways with star forward LeBron James.
