Defender Luke Kennard has agreed to a two-year contract worth $13 million with the Phoenix Suns, according to ESPN. The deal includes a player option for the second season.
Kennard is departing the Los Angeles Lakers, where he averaged 9 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 2.4 assists last NBA season, shooting an impressive 44.8% from beyond the arc.
The Lakers were unable to retain the reliable shooter Kennard due to salary cap constraints.
