Latvian World Cup Record-Holder Žagars Leaves Fenerbahçe for Zhejiang Golden Bulls

Defender Arturs Žagars has departed from Fenerbahçe to join the Chinese club Zhejiang Golden Bulls.

Last season, Žagars averaged 3.4 points and 1.6 assists in the EuroLeague, alongside 6.9 points and 2.3 assists in the Turkish domestic league.

Žagars gained international recognition during his performances for the Latvian national team at the 2023 World Championship. Throughout the tournament, he averaged 12.4 points and 7.4 assists, notably setting a World Championship record by delivering 17 assists without committing a single turnover in the fifth-place game against Lithuania.
