Thomas Walkup, the point guard for Dubai, opened up about his controversial departure from Olympiacos, which involved a $1.8 million buyout after he refused to fulfill his contract.
“Overall, I am very satisfied with the time I spent at Olympiacos. The people, the fans, and the management became like family to me. Every chapter in life eventually comes to an end. I hold no grievances, only immense respect for the club. When something ends, it doesn’t mean you forget everything you went through. We had both tough and wonderful moments. The players and coaches are family to me. The goal at Dubai is to win a title. That’s exactly why I came here. In my opinion, this is a talented EuroLeague team,” Walkup stated.
