Three-time NBA dunk contest champion officially joins a European club

Defender Mek McClung has officially signed a contract with Girona.
The three-time NBA Slam Dunk Contest champion is making his debut in European basketball and will be playing outside the United States for the first time. Girona will compete in the EuroCup next season.
McClung has been listed on NBA team rosters since 2021 but has appeared in only 17 league games. He primarily played in the G League, where last season he averaged 29.5 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 7.6 assists for the Windy City Bulls. McClung earned the MVP award for the second consecutive season, a feat unmatched by any player in the history of the tournament.
